Meet Evidencity’s Newest Team Member: David Wu

David Wu, the newest member of the Evidencity leadership team, is leading the charge in integrating the best in fraud and compliance solutions for customers around the globe.

David is an expert in managing cross-functional teams, leading new business development and analysis. He’s an attorney with extensive legal expertise in areas of civil litigation, estate planning and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

David is also a recent Cornell MBA grad where he was also a Published Fellow at the Emerging Markets Institute of Cornell University with deep understanding of market forces and public policies, especially in the APAC region.

As far as emerging markets, what is an unexpected market you see gaining traction in the next few years?

In the last 5 years, the world has seen tremendous market growth in Africa as a whole. With more investments coming both from Western nations and China, Africa should experience continuing growth for the foreseeable future.

What is the best application you’ve seen for Evidencity’s solutions/benefits thus far?

Through our client discovery discussions with existing Evidencity clients, we have learned what makes Evidencity truly stand out from the competition is our transparency on prices and procedures and also the standardization of our reports to our clients.

How many languages are you fluent in?

I’m fluent in two languages - Chinese and English, and also proficient in Spanish.

What do you like most about working at Evidencity?

Evidencity employees and leadership take the company values to heart and practice them on a daily basis.

How are you applying your legal expertise and estate planning experience to your role at Evidencity?

The experiences of conducting legal consultations with prospective clients as an attorney allow me to transfer that experience over to Evidencity, where I can better learn the needs and goals of our clients’ global due diligence and compliance needs.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and our son, exploring Washington, DC, and traveling.

Recent book that you read and couldn’t put down?

I absolutely could not put down “Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster.” I highly recommend it to any reader.
